Rev. Fr. John Kelmy is an Ordained Old Catholic Priest, a Benedictine, and is the Fellowship Corner's founder. This Christian-based organization strives to bring the Church of Christ to the homes of Christians who cannot attend a traditional church setting due to disabilities & geriatric status.
Fr. John Kelmy is a former New York City Emergency Medical Specialist with years of experience working throughout New York City. A former Westchester County Emergency Medical Services Supervisor, Special Operations Division, and the former Assistant Secretary at the Neighborhood Advisory Board #11, Department of Youth and Community Development, covering the East Harlem community. He is a Homeless Prevention Expert, Outreach and Housing Preservation Specialist, Special Project Manager with years of experience in government.
Additionally, he served as the New York City Elder for the National Association of Christian Ministers. The N.A.C.M. has a membership of approximately 30,000 Ordained Ministers who operate worldwide, establishing ministries and charity to the underserved.
Fr. John Kelmy actively serves as a Supervising Trauma Chaplain for the M.T.A. New York City Transit. He also serves as a Priest at Christ's Apostolic Catholic Church and as a Benedictine Monk at Pax Abbey.
He is a father of 4 children and has a graduate degree in Systematic Theology with a minor in Christian Counseling; he is currently pursuing an advanced degree in Social Sciences and Anthropology. He enjoys being a Contributing Writer at GOD TV during his leisure time. GOD TV is a major Christian Broadcasting Network that provides services to the homes of millions of Christians worldwide.
Fr. John Kelmy has been a news contributor regarding Community Policing, Public Policy, Public Health, and Safety matters on various news networks such as CNN, W.P.I.X. 11, FOX 5, N.B.C. 4, 1010 WINS, Telemundo 47, Univision 41, and Channel 7 Eyewitness News gaining national and international exposure.
He is a recipient of several New York State Assembly Citations for Exceptional Community Service, several New York State Senate Recognition Awards for Public Service, a Humanitarian Award for Societal Contributions, a Special Congressional Recognition for Community Affairs, and multiple Live Save Commendations from the New York City Fire Department.
Fr. John Kelmy is a member in good standing with the American Association of Christian Counselors.
He released his first book on June 2022, "Axioms of An Urban Priest," "An Ongoing Journey of Revelations."
His second book, 'The Episcopal Warlock," "Witches in the Church," is scheduled to be released late 2023.
His third book, "From the Gutter to GOD," is expected to be released in 2025.
